SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated in a reply to a user on X: “I am very confident that SpaceX will send NVIDIA’s NVL72 AI computer into space next year.”
According to NVIDIA’s official website, the NVL72 (Musk had written “NLV72” by mistake) is a rack-scale AI supercomputing platform that integrates 72 GPUs and 36 CPUs into a single, massive GPU. NVIDIA’s official technical documentation lists the weight of a fully configured rack at approximately 1.3 metric tons, with a maximum power consumption of around 120 kilowatts.
